Paid services terms
This document describes the paid services Market Filter provides and the conditions on which we provide them. It forms an integral part of the Terms of Use and applies only to those who have ordered a paid service from us. Access to the site's materials remains free of charge and does not depend on this document.
These Terms take effect from the date of their publication on market-filter.com.
1. Who provides the services
1.1. The services are provided by the Market Filter project team ("Market Filter", the "Provider", "we"). Market Filter is an independent information project run by a group of private individuals; the project is not a legal entity.
1.2. A Client ("you") is the owner, administrator or official representative of a Telegram channel, group or chat, as well as any other person who approaches us for a paid service.
1.3. The only channel through which paid services are ordered and agreed is the Telegram bot @MarketFilterSupportBot. Offers of Market Filter paid services received from other sources are not official.
2. Which services we provide
2.1. We provide four paid services:
- A review for the "Market Filter Verified" badge and monthly monitoring. An editorial review of an object under the Methodology, after which the Editorial Team decides whether the badge is assigned. An assigned badge stays valid for as long as the Editorial Team's monthly monitoring is paid for. The first month of monitoring is included in the price of the review.
- Partner placement in a top. A separate place in a top, marked with the "Market Filter Partner" label.
- A channel analysis with publication in the catalog. An editorial analysis of a channel under the Methodology, after which its card is published in the catalog with a score and a status.
- A queue-jump review. Faster work: an urgency surcharge on a review for the badge or on a channel analysis, or an expedited analysis of a channel that is awaiting analysis.
2.2. We have no other paid services. We do not sell the "Market Filter Verified" badge, reputation statuses, scores, ratings, places in tops that are formed through editorial assessment, the removal of a status, or the deletion or amendment of published materials.
2.3. We do not provide a review for the badge, a channel analysis or a queue-jump review to objects holding the "Scam" or "Under Review" status. For them there is only the free procedure of the Complaints and Appeals Policy. Nor are they given a partner placement (clause 5.4).
2.4. How assessments, statuses and the badge are formed is described in the Methodology, and the independence of the Editorial Team from commercial relationships is described in the Editorial Policy. Both documents are published on the site and apply to paid services in full.
3. The main rule: payment does not affect conclusions
3.1. Payment for any of the services in section 2 does not and cannot influence the Editorial Team's conclusions: the score and rating of an object, the reputation status the Editorial Team assigns as a result of the analysis, the decision to assign or withdraw the "Market Filter Verified" badge, the decision to publish a breakdown in the Market Scam section, or any other conclusion. The Editorial Team assigns the badge and the "Verified" reputation status only to an object that meets the Methodology. Only the period of validity of the badge is linked to payment: a badge assigned as a result of a paid review stays valid for as long as the Editorial Team's monthly monitoring is paid for (section 4). If the monitoring is not paid for, the badge is removed, and this is not a conclusion of the Editorial Team about the channel. This rule is recorded in section 1 of the Editorial Policy and in clause 1.5 of the Methodology.
3.2. Declining a paid service is not a ground for a worse assessment, and agreeing to one is not a ground for a better assessment. If the Client does not renew the monitoring, the badge is removed under the rules of section 4, but the score does not change.
3.3. Commercial negotiations and editorial work are conducted independently of each other. A Client acquires no right to approve, sign off or preview editorial conclusions.
4. A review for the "Market Filter Verified" badge and monthly monitoring
4.1. What is paid for is the work, not the badge. The badge is not for sale and cannot be obtained by payment. The fee for a review covers the Editorial Team's work of analysing the object: studying its content and publication history, checking its statements and promises, assessing the transparency and logic of the project and, where necessary, dialogue with the owner. The fee for a month of monitoring covers the Editorial Team's regular re-examination of the channel (clause 4.7).
4.2. The badge is assigned only where an object meets the criteria of the Methodology published on the site. Payment is not a ground for assigning the badge.
4.3. A review for the badge may be ordered by a channel with any status except "Scam" and "Under Review" (clause 2.3), including a channel that is not yet in the catalog. Before the work starts, we make sure that the Client manages the channel: for example, the Client publishes a temporary code in the channel or writes to us from a contact listed in the channel description.
4.4. A negative outcome is possible and is a normal result of a review. Where we decline, we report the outcome and state the reasons why the object does not meet the criteria. The results of the review are reflected on the channel's card on the general basis: the channel receives a status under the Methodology, including "High risk" where there are grounds for it. If the channel was not yet in the catalog, its card appears on the site once payment has been received or, by agreement, the work has started, and it stays on the site after the review.
4.5. The fee for a review already carried out is not refunded, whatever its outcome, because what was paid for is the work itself, and the work has been done in either case. We state this before the work starts, and ordering the service means accepting it.
4.6. The first month of monitoring is included in the price of the review. If the review is passed, the badge is assigned straight away, and the first month of monitoring runs from that day. A month of monitoring lasts 30 days. If, by agreement, the review was carried out before payment, the badge stays valid until the agreed payment date and is removed if payment has not arrived by that date.
4.7. After that, the badge stays valid for as long as the monitoring is paid for. Each following month of monitoring is paid for before the current one ends. During the paid period, the Editorial Team regularly re-examines the channel. By agreement in the bot, the payment date can be postponed: the badge is kept until the agreed date. To stop the monitoring, it is enough not to pay for the next month.
4.8. If the next month is not paid for, the badge is removed automatically once the paid period ends. The channel receives the "Low risk" status if it held that status before the review, and the "Neutral" status in all other cases. The score does not change. The status history on the channel page shows the record "the “Verified” label was removed: the check expired". Such a removal does not mean that any violations have been found in the channel. No debt arises for the unpaid month.
4.9. If payment for a month arrived before the paid period ended but the badge was removed all the same, it is restored as soon as the payment is confirmed, and no days are lost. If payment arrived after the period ended, the Editorial Team restores the badge after looking at the channel, and the new month runs from the day it is restored. If the badge has not been restored within 7 days, the fee for that month is refunded in full.
4.10. If during a paid month the Editorial Team changes the channel's status, for example moves it to "Under Review", lowers its status or carries out a repeat analysis, the badge is removed and the paid days are frozen. If the channel then meets the Methodology again, the Editorial Team restores the badge and the lost days are added to the period. If the badge is not restored, the fee for the current month is not refunded, while the fee for months paid in advance that have not yet begun is.
4.11. If a channel is assigned the "Scam" status, the badge is removed and no fee is refunded, including for months paid in advance. If the "Scam" status is later found to be mistaken and removed, the badge is restored after a repeat analysis, and the lost days are added to the period.
4.12. An assigned badge is not permanent. The Editorial Team may at any time, including during a paid month, review an object's status and withdraw the badge in the manner described in the Methodology. Withdrawal of the badge does not entail a refund of the fee for a review carried out earlier.
4.13. A repeat review after a refusal is a separate service and is paid for separately. It makes sense to reapply once the reasons for the refusal have been addressed. A free request under the Complaints and Appeals Policy can correct a mistake or change a status, but it does not replace a review for the badge.
4.14. A channel may tell its audience about the badge while the badge is valid, under the rules of section 4 of the Rules on the Use of Materials. Once the badge has been removed, any mention of it in the channel must be taken down.
5. Partner placement in a top
5.1. Partner placement is a separate place in a top, additional to the places objects obtain through editorial assessment. Places obtained through editorial assessment are not for sale in any form.
5.2. Partner placement always carries the "Market Filter Partner" label. The label is visible to the User in the same place as the object itself. The placement is paid for, and the label exists precisely so that a reader can tell it apart from an editorial choice.
5.3. The object's reputation status stays visible when it takes a partner placement and does not change because of the placement. The "Market Filter Partner" label and the reputation status are different things: the first speaks about a partner placement, the second remains an editorial assessment. If the object also holds the "Market Filter Verified" badge, that is a separate service with a review and monthly monitoring by the Editorial Team (section 4). The partner placement does not affect it, and the removal of the "Market Filter Verified" badge does not end the placement.
5.4. Partner placement is available only to objects with the "Verified" analysis status that do not hold the "Scam" or "Under Review" status. Objects with any other status, including "High risk", may take a partner placement, and their reputation status stays visible to the User alongside the label: a partner placement neither hides nor softens the editorial assessment.
5.5. If an object is assigned the "Scam" status or loses the "Verified" analysis status during the placement period, the placement ends. The fee for the elapsed part of the period is not refunded; the fee for the unused remainder is.
5.6. We do not give partner placements to financial pyramids, fake platforms, services and channels promising guaranteed returns, or other offers with clear signs of fraud or misleading promises. This rule is recorded in clause 7.4 of the Editorial Policy and applies regardless of the object's reputation status.
5.7. The placement period is agreed when the service is ordered. When it ends, the label is removed and the object stays on the site on the general basis.
6. Channel analysis and queue-jump review
6.1. A channel analysis with publication in the catalog is an editorial analysis of a channel under the Methodology, after which the channel's card is published in the catalog with a score, a status and the Editorial Team's conclusions. An analysis may also be ordered for a channel that is already in the catalog. In that case the Editorial Team carries out a new analysis, and its outcome may be anything, including worse than before. A free status review under the Complaints and Appeals Policy remains available all the same and requires no payment.
6.2. The outcome of an analysis may be anything, including "High risk", and it is published on the general basis. The fee for an analysis already carried out is not refunded, whatever the outcome. An analysis does not give the "Market Filter Verified" badge or the "Verified" reputation status: they can be obtained only as a result of a review for the badge (section 4).
6.3. If it turns out that the channel is not suitable for the catalog, for example because it is unrelated to the subject matter of the site, the analysis is not published and the fee is refunded in full.
6.4. A queue-jump review changes only the timeframe of the work. It has no effect whatsoever on the outcome. It comes in two forms: an urgency surcharge on a review for the badge or on a channel analysis, and an expedited analysis of a channel that is awaiting analysis on the site. The timeframe is agreed when the service is ordered and runs from the day payment is received.
6.5. An expedited analysis gives an ordinary score and status under the Methodology. It does not give the "Market Filter Verified" badge or the "Verified" reputation status.
6.6. A negative outcome is as possible with expedited work as with ordinary work, and gives no right to have the conclusion revised or the fee refunded. If the agreed timeframe is missed through our fault, the fee for urgency is refunded: the surcharge on a review or an analysis, or the price of an expedited analysis.
6.7. Expediting does not extend to status reviews and appeals: requests to correct materials and to review statuses are handled free of charge and within the timeframes of the Complaints and Appeals Policy, and we charge nothing for them in any form.
7. Price, ordering and payment
7.1. The price and conditions of each service are stated in the Telegram bot @MarketFilterSupportBot. There are deliberately no prices in this document: the price is set individually depending on the type of service, the volume of work and the placement period.
7.2. An order is placed through correspondence in the bot. Before the work starts we agree which service is being provided, exactly what it covers, the price, the timeframe and the payment arrangements.
7.3. The payment arrangements are agreed in correspondence. Methods and details are stated in the bot when the order is agreed. We do not request or accept bank card details, cryptocurrency wallet keys or seed phrases, exchange passwords or API keys. Any request for such information in our name is not official and may be a sign of fraud. We do not issue invoices, certificates of completion or other accounting documents. At the Client's request, we confirm receipt of payment with a message in the bot.
7.4. The agreement is considered concluded from the moment the parties have agreed the service and its price in correspondence and the Client has made payment or the parties have agreed to start the work before payment.
7.5. This document applies to an order in the version in force on the date the order was agreed.
8. Cancellation and refunds
8.1. If a Client cancels a service before the work starts, the fee is refunded in full. The work is considered started: for a review, a channel analysis and an expedited analysis, when the editorial analysis of the object begins; for a placement, when the object appears in a top with the "Market Filter Partner" label; for a month of monitoring, on the first day of that month.
8.2. Once the work has started, a refund is made only in the cases expressly set out in this document. For a review and a channel analysis this follows from clauses 4.5 and 6.2: the work has been done, and its result, positive or negative, is the result of the service.
8.3. For a placement, if the Client cancels early, the fee for the unused remainder of the period is refunded and the fee for the elapsed part is not.
8.4. For months of monitoring, the fee for the current month that has already begun is not refunded, while the fee for months paid in advance that have not yet begun is. The exceptions are described in clauses 4.9 and 4.11: if the badge is not restored within 7 days after a late payment, the fee for that month is refunded in full, and where the "Scam" status is assigned, no fee is refunded at all, including for months paid in advance.
8.5. If the fee for a review is refunded in full, the badge assigned as a result of that review is removed.
8.6. If the service is not provided for reasons attributable to Market Filter, the fee is refunded in full.
8.7. Refunds are made in the currency in which the payment was made, to the wallet address the Client names in correspondence in the bot, unless the parties agree otherwise. We do not refund to the address the payment came from without the Client's confirmation: it may belong to an exchange. The network fee for the transfer is deducted from the refund. If the refund is caused by our mistake, we pay the fee.
9. What we will not do for any money
9.1. We do not sell:
- the "Market Filter Verified" badge and the "Verified" reputation status bypassing the review;
- reputation statuses, scores and the rating;
- places in tops obtained through editorial assessment;
- the removal of a "Scam" or "High risk" status;
- the deletion, amendment or softening of published materials;
- a status review or the handling of an appeal.
9.2. A channel with the "High risk" or "Low risk" status may order a review for the badge on the general terms. It pays for the Editorial Team's work, not for a change of status: the status changes only if the channel meets the Methodology, and where we decline, the channel receives a status based on the outcome of the review, which may be its previous one. Objects with the "Scam" or "Under Review" status cannot order a review for the badge (clause 2.3).
9.3. Status reviews, corrections of inaccuracies and appeals are always free. The procedure is described in the Complaints and Appeals Policy.
9.4. Any offer to buy anything listed in clause 9.1 made on behalf of Market Filter is not official and may be a sign of fraud. Please report such offers to @MarketFilterSupportBot or to marketfilter.team@gmail.com.
10. Liability
10.1. Services are provided with reasonable care. We do not guarantee the assignment of the badge, audience growth, revenue or any other commercial result of a placement or a review.
10.2. We are not liable for the consequences of the actions of the Client and of third parties in connection with published materials, or for the decisions users take when reading the site.
10.3. The Client is responsible for the accuracy of the information and materials passed to us for review or placement and confirms that they are entitled to dispose of them.
10.4. The limitations of liability in section 8 of the Terms of Use and in the Disclaimer apply to paid services as well.
11. Disputes
11.1. Disagreements about paid services are resolved in the manner of section 11 of the Terms of Use: negotiations through the official channels of communication first, then in accordance with the applicable law.
11.2. The mandatory rights of the Client that cannot be limited by agreement of the parties under the law of their country of residence are not limited by this document.
12. Changes to these Terms
12.1. We may amend this document. The current version is always published on the site, with the update date stated in the heading.
12.2. An order already agreed and paid for is governed by the version in force on the date it was agreed.
12.3. This document is drawn up in Russian. The English and Ukrainian versions are published for convenience. In the event of a discrepancy in interpretation, the Russian version prevails.
