Gift News

Gift News (@gift_newstg) is a Telegram news channel covering collectible gifts, updates, major deals, and events within the ecosystem. The main format consists of brief news items about new gifts, rare items, sales, changes to game mechanics, and the activities of major collectors. The channel is affiliated with Tonnel Market, OTC Whale, and Gift Guarant, and links to these platforms are regularly included in posts. The main drawbacks are the noticeable commercial integration of partner services and a prolonged decline in the number of subscribers.

Content and Format

Gift News publishes about two posts a day and focuses almost entirely on Telegram's collectible gift ecosystem. The main topics can be divided into several categories:

• launching and updating gifts, models, and backgrounds;

• major transactions and sales of rare items;

• the actions of Pavel Durov and well-known collectors;

• Changes to Telegram that are directly related to gifts and the gift market.

The posts are generally brief: a headline, a few facts, the transaction amount or a description of the change, and a link to the source or a specific NFT giveaway. Occasionally, more in-depth pieces appear, such as a repost of an investigation into whether Telegram employees have an unfair advantage when obtaining rare phone numbers.

Monetization and Business Model

Gift News does not appear to offer paid subscriptions, educational products, or trading signals. Its primary business model involves promoting services within the Telegram Gifts marketplace.

The pinned post features Portals, Tonnel Market, Gift Guarant, and OTC Whale. The link to Tonnel contains a referral parameter, so user clicks could potentially earn the channel an affiliate commission.

Tonnel and OTC Whale also appear in the signature block of virtually every post. As a result, commercial partners become part of the channel's design rather than separate advertisements.

Reputation, Risks, and Key Features

Comments are open, and the audience actively participates in discussions. No deleted posts were found, and posts are rarely edited, which makes the posting history quite transparent.

Engagement stands at around 23%, but audience growth appears to be weaker: available statistics begin at approximately 80,000 subscribers, after which there is a sustained decline. The channel has changed its name several times, but these changes took place within the same brand and do not appear to be an attempt to completely overhaul the project’s identity.

No specific individual or team is identified as the author. The external ecosystem is limited primarily to the Gift News account on X and ongoing connections with gift market services.

Conclusion

Gift News is a good resource for regularly keeping up with Telegram Gifts news, major deals, and changes within the collectible gifts market. However, the extensive integration of partner services and the decline in its audience mean that the project cannot be considered a fully independent news source.
